The best thing about Sea of Thieves is that you can do whatever you want and wear whatever you want while you do it.
That means you can wear a dress if that’s what’s expected.
And you can choose from some really great ones.
Whether you’re looking for something sleek for a stealth mission, or whether you just want to pull rank on your crew, you’ll find the best female outfits all in this list.

18. Dress Of The Silent Barnacle
If you thought dresses in Sea of Thieves would be frilly and not very useful, you were very wrong.
Some pirates know what it’s like to really get their hands dirty.
And if you’re wearing the Dress of the Silent Barnacle, you know it all too well.
This dress looks like it came from the bottom of the ocean.
And that might be true, since you have to sell 300 Shipwrecked chests just to unlock it. Most of the time, those are found in shipwrecks.
It will take a long time to find 300 of these chests. So if you go for this dress, you’ll be wearing something pretty rare as well.
17. Azure Ocean Crawler Dress
It depends on what you like, but I think some of the Ocean Crawler set is kind of ugly.
After all, it’s made of bits of crab!
But, fortunately, the Ocean Crawler Dress is not one of those things.
To figure out what it’s made of, you’ll have to use your imagination. But this dress is a great mix of deep blues, and the tan and yellow details really make it stand out.
It shouldn’t take a fishing fan too long to unlock it either, since it’s unlocked for purchase after you’ve delivered 25 Trophy Fish to the Hunters Call.
16. Morningstar Dress
This beautiful red and white dress is great.
But if you want to wear it, you’ll have to go through a few hoops.
The Morningstar Dress is tied to one of the Tall Tales and can’t be bought (minor spoilers incoming).
In this Tale, you’ll dress up as a member of the Morningstar crew. When the mission is done, you’ll have to give the dress back. or do you?
If you really want to keep this dress, you can always use the Tall Tale and leave it open when you reach a checkpoint.
So, if you’re looking for something that money can’t buy, here it is!
15. Legendary Dress
For many new players, their first big goal is to reach level 50 with 3 factions and become a Pirate Legend.
And to celebrate your success, you get this wonderful outfit.
The Legendary Dress is a long, flowing purple dress with gold details and the Pirate Legend symbol.
You won’t be able to hide from anyone with this on.
But if you want to show off your shiny Pirate Legend status, nothing in the Clothing Shop does it better.
14. Assassin’s Split Dress
Can you really say you’ve played Sea of Thieves to its fullest without tucking?
The Assassin’s Split Dress is just what you need to add some style to this dark art.
This dress is beautiful, sleek, and stylish, and because it is so dark, it can be tucked in.
This is the right outfit to wear if you want to be a scary person who strikes from the shadows.
13. Carefree Summer Dress
In Sea of Thieves, the ocean is full of dangers.
But you should also take time to relax with your crew on a beach at sunset every so often.
In the Sea of Thieves, it’s summer all year long. So the Carefree Summer Dress is a great choice for a place like that.
This white dress with a loose fit can look a little odd, though. Because when you put it on, you’re probably wearing the cleanest piece of clothing on the whole server.
So, it’s the best thing to wear when you just want to relax and take in the view…
Until a Reaper Galleon comes by to ruin it.
12. Distinguished Admiral Dress
Want a shot at captaincy?
If you want to look the part, nothing will do it better than this outfit.
Some might accuse you of trying too hard. But it’s impossible not to own that Captains Quarters when you’re wearing the Distinguished Admiral Dress.
If it weren’t for the torn sleeve, you could be mistaken for a member of an imperial fleet instead of a pirate.
But maybe that’s just evidence they didn’t let you have it willingly.
11. Dress Of The Ashen Dragon
You can’t go wrong with the Dress Of The Ashen Dragon if you’re willing to let go of your pirate sensibilities and wear something that will make you stand out at night.
This beautiful dress is a striking mix of black, red, and green, with flashes of fire all over it.
I’m also not making up about the glowing. With this on, you can really be seen from a mile away!
But if you don’t care about being seen and have the skills to back that up, this is the dress for you.
The only way to get this is to sell the “Tome of Curses III.” And that is a random item that can be found in Ashen Chests, so you might have to hunt some Ashen Guardians.
10. Dark Adventurers Dress
You have so much gold you don’t know what to do with it.
Some people at Athena’s Fortune Shop would like to talk to you…
The Dark Adventurers Dress, which costs over 2 Million Gold, is by far the most expensive dress in the game.
For your hard-earned money, you get this beautiful black and grey dress with red belts and red crystal skulls.
Many people around the world want Dark Adventurers gear, so this dress is instantly recognisable.
And if you still have money left over, why not buy a hat to go with it?
09. Ceremonial Admiral Dress
In Sea of Thieves, a lot of the clothes are dark and boring.
So, stop looking if you want to add a splash of colour to your wardrobe.
The Ceremonial Admiral Dress is elegant and made of black and red with small touches of gold.
At first glance, the colours of this dress might make you think it’s a Reaper dress, with the red representing all the blood you’ve spilled… But no, it’s not the same as anything else.
This is a reward from the Merchant Alliance for getting to level 33 with them, which means the worst thing you’ve probably spilled is rum.
08. Glorious Sea Dog Dress
Don’t think I forgot about you savage Arena players.
The Glorious Sea Dog Dress is only awarded to those who are brave enough to face the Arena.
And just as the name suggests, it is glorious.
This beautiful red dress has gold details, a blue wrap, and unlike the Ceremonial Admiral Dress, you actually will need to spill blood (and lots of it) if you want this attire for yourself.
To unlock this dress you need to place in the top 3 in the Arena for a total of 100 times.
So this item is as rare as it is beautiful.
07. Cultured Aristocrat Dress
This beautiful white and gold dress says a lot about you to a trained eye.
The Cultured Aristocrat Dress is a beautiful outfit that is hard to find elsewhere in the game.
You need the rare “Curse of the Pacifists Demise” Commendation to open it. This is given to a Reaper crew that used a Peaceball to stop another player ship from moving.
Because it’s so hard to get, it’s not surprising that not many people wear it…
And if you can get it, that will show you are a real battle strategist.
06. Bell Brigade Dress
The Bell Brigade Dress is a Dress cosmetic variant from the Bell Brigade Set.
It can be obtained by the Previously earned as a reward during Season Five by reaching Renown Level 40.
“A formal dress of red and green, lined with fur for protection and warmth.”
05. Bone Crusher Dress
The Bone Crusher Dress is a Dress cosmetic variant from the Bone Crusher Set.
The Bone Crusher Dress can be obtained by the Acquired during Skeleton Thrones (Content Update) as a time-limited purchase from Duke for 20.
“The skellies will still attack you in this, but maybe they’ll think twice.”

The Frostbite Dress can be obtained by the Previously earned as a reward during Season One by reaching Renown Level 67.

02. Sailor Dress

The Sailor Dress can be obtained by Provided for free to all players by default.
“This generic gown will ensure you’re dressed to make others unimpressed.”
01. Wild Rose Dress
The Wild Rose Dress is a Dress cosmetic variant from the Wild Rose Set.
The Wild Rose Dress can be obtained by Purchased from the General Clothing Shop.
“Rose was fierce, competent and fearless. She and her beloved George are beyond harm’s reach now.”
There are a lot of cool dresses in Sea of Thieves, but this one stands out because it is so different and interesting.
People will ask you for sure where you got it.
