10 Best Crush Weapons in Old School RuneScape

Crush Weapons are some of the most important in RuneScape because they are needed for both PvM and PvP.

Whether you want to fight the powerful Tekton in the Chambers of Xeric or Cerberus, the king of Hellhounds, in the Taverley Dungeon, you’ll need a reliable crush tool to make sure the fight goes your way.

So, what are the best tools for crushing?

And even more important, where can you get these powerful weapons?

Let’s find out the answers right now.

10. Hill Giant Club

Crush Weapons in Old School RuneScape

The Hill Giant Club isn’t much to look at if you’re a member, but it’s the best crush tool for someone who isn’t a member, so it’s at number 10 on this list.

The club has a +65 crush attack bonus, which makes it not only the best weapon for crushing for non-members, but also possibly the best weapon that non-members can get.

You have to beat Obor, the boss of the Hill giants. He is in the Edgeville cave and can only be reached with a giant key.

9. Granite Maul

Monsters can’t be killed with every kind of tool.

We sometimes want to compete with each other.

And for many, the Granite Maul is the best tool for the job.

With a +81 crush bonus, the maul is a dangerous tool for an enemy to use against you… This is not, however, why this weapon is so famous.

The Granite Maul has a special ability called “Quick Smash” that lets a player do an extra attack in the same game tick as another attack.

This makes it very easy to kill enemy players by stacking a lot of damage!

This tool is a must-have if you want to get into PvP.

Where to get it: You’ll need 75 Slayer to kill Gargoyles and get the drop. I’d suggest the Slayer Tower, where there are lots of Gargoyles to kill on or off a slayer job.

8. Verac’s Flail

The Verac’s Flail is one of the best-known weapons in RuneScape because it was one of the best tools for crushing in the game’s early versions.

The Flail has a crush score of +82, which puts it in this spot on the list.

But when you use the Flail with the Verac’s gear set, that’s when the real magic happens.

This lets you use the set effect that gives you a 14 chance to completely ignore an opponent’s prayer and defense, which is incredibly useful!

This whole set is often used for bosses like Calisto because of how useful it is.

To get it, go to the Barrows minigame and try your luck on the last chest. This is a very famous area because there is a lot of other loot to be found here.

7. Barrelchest Anchor

Now, this weapon is similar to the very famous PvP weapon the Granite Maul.

The anchor has a very strong +92 crush bonus, and players often use it with special weapons to do a lot of damage to an opponent at once.

The fact that this weapon is easy to get and gives +100 strength makes it a very popular choice among Pkers.

How to Get It: Finish the quest “The Great Brain Robbery” to get this powerful weapon made from an anchor.

6. Zamorakian Hasta

The Zamorakian Hasta is more of a stabbing tool than anything else.

But because it has a +65 crush bonus, many players like to use it as a crush weapon.

Still, the Hasta is very useful because it has a +85 stab bonus and can be used in a lot of different ways.

Because of this, the Hasta is often used to fight bosses like Vet’ion.

Where to Get: K’ril Tsutsaroth and his generals will drop it as a Zamorakian Spear in the God War Dungeon. If you get this drop, take it to Otto Godblessed at Otto’s Grotto. For a fee, he can turn it into a hasta.

5. Viggora’s Chainmace

Sometimes, a tool can only be used in a certain part of Runescape.

A great example of this is the Chainmace.

With a crush bonus of +67, you might not even bother to give this tool a chance.

And it’s without a doubt one of the best guns in RuneScape.

While in the Wilderness, the Chainmace has a silent effect that gives it a 50% damage boost and a 50% accuracy boost.

This makes the weapon strong in the Wilderness, and it easily beats some of the higher-tier guns on this list.

It’s on the fifth spot because it’s not very big, but it’s still very useful.

Where to Get: Go to the Wilderness and kill the revenants in the Revenant Caves. You should know that this drop is very rare, so it might take a while to get.

4. Elder Maul

Now let’s get to the meat of this list, which has some really powerful guns…

For example, the Elder Maul has a crush score of +135 and is the best crush weapon in RuneScape.

You might be thinking why it’s only the fourth best bonus when it’s so good.

The main reason for this is that it has an attack speed of 6. This makes it one of the slowest weapons in OSRS, which lowers its DPS and makes it less useful.

In the Chambers of Xeric, people who raid alone often use it.

This is a super-rare prize that you might get from the Chambers of Xeric after defeating Olm. This is something that only the best players in the game will be able to do.

3. Abyssal Bludgeon

I can’t say enough good things about this tool.

The bludgeon has a +102 crush bonus, is quick, has a +85 strength bonus, and can be used in many ways.

It’s the second best crush weapon in the game (in terms of DPS), which makes it a very desired weapon.

People often use the Abyssal Bludgeon for Slayer, Nightmare, and Gargoyles. Aside from that, players use this weapon as their main strength-training tool when grinding it up to 99.

You’ll need to fight the Abyssal Sire and get the Axon, Claw, and Spine to make your own weapon.

2. Dragon Warhammer

This is the only weapon on this list that is almost never used as a main weapon. Instead, it is used for its special attack, which is one of the best in OSRS.

The Warhammer has a +95 crush bonus, which is good on its own.

But its special move, “Smash,” lowers the defense of the person you hit by 30% if you hit them.

Since this special can be used twice in a row and its effects can be stacked, most high-level PvM should have it.

Most teams will even ask you to bring this with you if you want to raid or PvM with them.

Where to Get: You’ll have to kill Lizardman Shamans to get this God-Tier weapon. I say “grind” because the Dragon Warhammer only drops 1 out of 5000 times, which means you’ll be grinding for a very, very long time.

1. Inquisitor’s Mace

And now… the best tool for crushing in the whole game:

The Mace of the Inquisitor!

With a +95 Crush Bonus and a +89 Strength Bonus, this tool makes quick work of its enemies.

It can only be used with one hand, unlike tools like the bludgeon and anchor.

This means that the Inquisitor’s Mace can be used with an Avernic Defender, which makes it even more dangerous.

Also, it moves a lot faster than either the Elder Maul or the Barrelchest anchor. This means that this mace does more damage than any other tool that can crush.

It’s tied with the Blade of Saeldor and the Ghrazi Rapier as the best offensive weapon in RuneScape, so the Inquisitor’s Mace easily takes the top spot on this list.

The only way to get this rare drop is to go to the town of Slepe and fight The Nightmare of Ashihama. This won’t be easy, so make sure you’re ready!
