15 Best Sims 4 Suburban House Lots

One of the easier things to find is a house in a suburb.

Since The Sims 4 is the best way to live a happy life in the suburbs, it makes sense that neighborhood houses are popular.

The bad thing (or good thing, based on your point of view) is that there are so many different kinds of suburban houses that it’s hard to choose.

I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve spent hours and hours looking for the perfect home for my next Sim family.

Worst of all, I sometimes spend more time trying to find the house than I do using it.

But on the plus side, all that time I spent on the Internet has taught me a lot about Sims 4 areas. This list will give you some great ideas to get you started.

How to Use Sims 4 House Layouts?

Each person who made these Sims 4 plans for houses has a list of all the custom content and DLC packs they used.

If you don’t have any of these game pack needs, you might be missing things like:

Furniture
Decorations
Actual parts of the house

This is something to think about when choosing a house.

10. Luxury Suburban House

If you want a taste of luxury, this building will give you that.

It has 4 bedrooms, 2 baths (which Sims seem to be fine with sharing), and a fully furnished garden.

It has a pool, jacuzzi, and even a water slide, in addition to the garden and grill area where you can cook the veggies.

I really don’t know what I’d do with all that stuff.

At that point, I think it would be tempting to just live outside.

9. Quiet Alley

The lack of noise is one of the best things about living in a town.

Because of this, suburbs are often great places to live a peaceful, satisfying life.

The Quiet Alley build is a quiet house in the suburbs. It has 6 beds and 4 bathrooms.

And because it has so much room, I think it’s a great choice for a legacy build.

But even if this house didn’t have any legacies, the fact that it is big and fully stocked would be great for any sim family.

8. Big Blue Suburban

It’s big, it’s blue, and it’s the suburban house of your dreams.

It’s the Big Blue Suburban!

The name might not be the most creative, but the home itself is well-built and full of character.

Bright color aside, the fully furnished interior is more than enough to make the Big Blue Suburban a charming home choice.

This build is what is known as a Craftsman-style house.

Craftsman homes are characterized by low triangular roofs, eaves that hang, exposed rafters and beams, and tapered columns. Covered front porches are also common.

As you can see, this blue three-story building has many of those features.

The more you know!

7. Newcrest Suburban

A more appropriate name for this build is the “Gingerbread Suburban”, because that’s exactly what the color scheme looks like.

On the other hand, it’s fully furnished with modern amenities, which is probably more than what most Gingerbread houses have.

I usually love it when a Sims build tries to match the aesthetic of one of the building locations. But with Newcrest having no preset buildings, it’s a little hard to make a build that matches it!

Still, this Newcrest home is about as close as you can get to a true Newcrest building because of its modern suburban look.

With 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a living room, a dining room, and a study, this home is a winner no matter where it’s located!

6. Cozy Beach Life House

Cottage-y and charming, this suburban is a great starter home.

It’s big enough to fit everything you could possibly want without being absolutely enormous – i.e., you won’t have to worry about so much building.

The inside is decorated with the sort of modern chic furniture you would expect from a modern suburban.

But that doesn’t mean it’s lacking in personality, though!

Sprinkled throughout the rooms in this house are special little objects and decorations that really bring it to life, from a cat poster in one of the bedrooms to a stack of magazines in the living room.

5. A Very Basic Suburban House

This one-of-a-kind house is only in name a neighborhood home.

This build, which is based on the real-life luxury homes in New York called the Hamptons, will make you forget all about your suburban dreams.

And speaking of water, this spa-like place has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a beautiful swimming pool.

This Hamptons lot is still a great house for a suburban family, thanks to its size and comfort, but you’ll definitely make your neighbors jealous.

4. Suburban Hamptons House

The Skyborough Estate looks like a dream castle from the Middle Ages crossed with a modern suburban home, and I love every inch of it.

Even though it’s not much bigger than some of the other houses we’ve seen (it has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms), the way it’s designed makes it look like a palace.

But, unlike the outside, the inside is decorated and has modern comforts.

To be honest, that’s probably best anyway.

Medieval conveniences aren’t even close to as good.

2. American Dream Suburban Family Home

For many people, the American Dream means having a nice family home in a nice neighborhood with a white picket fence.

I’ll be honest: if you want a white picket fence, this building won’t give you what you want.

But if you’re looking for a place to raise your sim family, you’re in for a treat!

And, to be honest, I like the way the stone fence looks better.

The pool in this build is smaller than most sim pools, which could be disappointing if you want to have a lot of pool parties.

But the big house makes up for it more than enough.

1. Japanese Suburban Home

When you’re looking for something else, all the American and Craftsman style houses can be a bit much.

Compared to the other lots on this list, this normal Japanese house in a neighborhood style is a breath of fresh air.

This house is boxy and simple, like many normal Japanese suburban homes, but it still feels like home.

There are even decks!

A bad thing is that the garden is mostly empty.

But there are full sets of furniture in the 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, and all the other rooms.

Doesn’t that sort of make up for the backyard?
