Sam and Max return in remastered Devil’s Playhouse Edition

Sam and Max: The Devil’s Playhouse is set to hit the road again, with Skunkape Games announcing a remastered version of the beloved 2010 episodic adventure game.

Developed by Telltale Games, the original release of The Devil’s Playhouse saw the dynamic duo of Sam, a private investigator dog, and Max, a wisecracking bunny, embark on a series of wacky and absurd adventures, each episode featuring a unique premise involving sci-fi or supernatural elements.

Now, Skunkape Games, a studio founded by former Telltale employees and the current holders of the rights to the Sam and Max franchise, is bringing the classic title back to life with updated graphics and a 2023 release date.

This isn’t the first time Skunkape has given the beloved series a modern makeover, having already released remastered versions of Sam and Max Save the World in December 2020 and Sam and Max Beyond Time and Space in December 2021.

Fans of the series will no doubt be excited to see the return of Sam and Max’s interactive, graphic adventure gameplay and absurdist humor, which have made them a beloved duo for gamers since their debut in the 90s.

While The Devil’s Playhouse is sure to bring plenty of laughs and thrills, it’s worth noting that this remaster comes from a studio founded by former Telltale employees.

This means that Skunkape Games has a deep understanding and appreciation for the series, and is committed to bringing fans the best possible version of The Devil’s Playhouse. So get ready to join Sam and Max on their latest zany adventure, coming to a screen near you in 2023.
