Valorant fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the new Valorant’s Lotus Map, and Riot Games has finally given them a sneak peek with a new cinematic trailer.
The trailer features Agent Harbor and Agent Astra fighting against unseen enemies on the three-site map, which is set to be released alongside the launch of Episode 6: Revelation.
The Lotus map is described as having multiple layers and rooms for players to navigate, as well as hidden doorways and paths for agents to use to outmaneuver their opponents.
Structures and imagery of the lotus flower, which holds significant symbolism in India, can be seen throughout the map.
While the trailer doesn’t reveal much about the gameplay of the Lotus map, it does give fans a glimpse into the story behind it. The previous cinematic trailer for Episode 6: Revelation hinted that Western Ghats, India, would be the next major location for Valorant.
The trailer showed Agent Harbor returning to his home in the Western Ghats and meeting up with Agent Astra, with several other agents receiving coordinates to Harbor’s location and a mission to take out Alpha Agent Threats Harbor and Astra in India.
The latest trailer reveals that Harbor and Astra eventually find the city of flowers, which turns out to be the Lotus map. Valorant’s Episode 6: Revelation is set to begin on January 10, so fans won’t have to wait long to get their hands on the new map and see what it has in store for them.
In addition to the Lotus map, Valorant’s Episode 6: Revelation is also set to bring a new agent, new abilities, and new skins to the game.
Valorant is a free-to-play, first-person tactical shooter developed by Riot Games and is available as part of Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass for PC. With the new episode and map on the horizon, it’s an exciting time to be a Valorant player.
