Making Plans for a Journey to Zu
This is the beginning of your quest for the It’s a common misconception that the word “Zu” refers to avian life.
You’ll require a Private Enterprise (P.E.) that is independently owned and operates in a location with suitable housing and a fully functional factory.
From there, go to the Housing District’s Resident Caretaker to buy a Flight Credit.
They may be purchased for 10,000 FC Credits from the following establishments:
- The Lavender Beds – Lavender Beds, X:12 Y:8
- The Goblet – The Goblet, X:13 Y:11
- The Mists – Mist, X:11 Y:11
- Shirogane – Shirogane Shores, X:10 Y:14
- Empyreum – Ingleside, X:3 Y:4
You can now officially register a ship with these Flight Credits.
First, though, you’ll need an Airship in order to sign up.
There are four main parts needed to make an airship:
Hull \sRigging \sForecastle \sAftcastle
These materials can only be obtained using the FC Workshop’s Crafting system.
Each component of your Airship is constructed in three steps.
Furthermore, the quantity of resources needed for each stage varies.
To add to the Workshop, you must also be of sufficient level.
These four fundamental parts and the materials they are made from are:
|50||6||Hard Hippogryph Leather|
|44||24||Cobalt Joint Plate|
|27||24||Steel Joint Plate|
|44||24||Cobalt Joint Plate|
|27||30||Steel Joint Plate|
The term “Progress” can refer to a variety of various things that can be accomplished in the Workshop.
The quantity of materials needed for the next step is decreased for ratings of Good and Excellent.
However, there is nothing particularly difficult to find in this area, so relax.
After putting together your airship, the next step is to register it and start going on voyages.
Sector 24 And More In The Sea Of Clouds
When first deployed, all airships are at Rank 1.
In order to advance in the game, you will need to have them go on a number of Voyages.
A final stop on a long list of potential locations, Sector 24 is the furthest.
Also, these are all accessible after completing earlier Sectors.
Below is a handy chart detailing the various unlocks, as well as the corresponding Ranks, that are necessary to obtain them.
|02||1||Sector 04, Sector 05|
|05||10||Sector 06, Sector 07|
|07||17||Sector 08, Sector 10|
|08||20||Sector 09, FC Airship #2|
|11||30||Sector 13, Sector 14|

|18||50||FC Airship #4|

They’ll all need separate components and Flight Credits though.
Also keep in mind that Airships do have stats that fluctuate according to components.
As your journey into the Sea of Clouds continues, you will inevitably need to make repairs or replacements.
But be patient too, as each trip can take up to two full days.
With a little bit of luck, you’ll wind up with a handful of Iron Voyage Spoils to acquire your Zu.
