The Armory Bonus in Final Fantasy XIV is a simple boost to the experience that players get when they play a job below their highest job level.
The job system in XIV is much more open than in other MMOs.
In the beginning, you’ll choose your first job from a few simple options based on how you feel at the time.
Tanks, healers, DPS from a distance, and DPS from close range might seem a bit basic at first, especially for Final Fantasy.
From here, you can do one of two things: stick with your starting job until it changes into something better at level 30, or switch to something else.
Or, once they reach level 10, they can switch to something new by getting the quest from their guild or the person who gives that quest.
Once you’ve unlocked a job, switching to it is as easy as switching the weapon you’re using.
You’ll keep all the levels you earned on your last game, so you can try out different games and see which ones you like best without losing anything.
But there is one catch.
Most of the time, Main Scenario Quests are the best way for a character to level up between Duty Roulettes.
Before you can start a new job, you’ll have finished all of the introductory ones.
You can’t join the really helpful leveling roulette until you’re level 15, so if you’re just starting out, you might not know how to get there.
The Armory Bonus is how XIV makes it easier to do this.
How Does The Armoury Bonus Work?
First, let’s look at a simple example.
You are a level 30 Monk, which is the highest level you can reach.
No Armory Bonus.
You change from a Monk to a Lancer at level 1.
Your Lancer is now up to level 30 and has the Armory Bonus.
You forget about your Monk for a while while you get your Lancer to level 35.
When you switch back, the Armory Bonus is now active on your level 30 Monk until you reach level 35.
The Armory Bonus gives an extra 100% EXP up to level 70, but not for all sources.
Between levels 70 and 80, this bonus drops to 50%.
With End walker, that could change.
It will raise the level cap to 90, which should make it easier to level through Shadow bringers.
The Armory Bonus basically doubles the experience you get from killing mobs, doing FATEs, and going into Deep Dungeons: Palace of the Dead in A Realm Reborn and Heaven-on-High in Storm blood.
It also works with other boosts to EXP.
Servers sometimes get a global buff called “Road to 60,” which makes it easier for new characters to gain XP.
Free Companies can also offer a boost to combat experience, which works with the Armory Bonus.
It also adds to your Rested XP, which increases your experience by 50% until it runs out.
Some accessories, like the Ala Mhigan Earrings and the Brand New Ring, make it easier to gain experience.
These can be worn at the same time, and you guessed it, the Armory Bonus also applies to these.
The Armory Bonus is also only for combat classes, so it won’t help crafters or gatherers.
At first, getting a new job to the next level might seem like a big job, but it’s not as hard as you might think.
You won’t get the steady flow of XP that you get from Main Scenario Quests.
But there are a lot of other ways to speed through those levels, all of which give you buffs that you can stack.
Unlike the other XP boosts listed above, the Armory Bonus is always the same.
As long as you have a combat job that is higher than the one you want to level, you will always have a huge XP boost.
You can add buffs from other sources to this to speed up your leveling in a big way.
